Welcome to

our family run restaurant
& holiday cottage

Founded in 2021 by chef Peter Neville and his partner Cecily Fearnley, The Homestead Kitchen sits in the heart of the moorland village of Goathland. Set within a beautifully restored 18th-century farmhouse overlooking the North York Moors, it brings together relaxed fine dining, a self-contained holiday cottage, and family home hospitality.

Awarded a MICHELIN Green Star and 3 AA Rosettes, the restaurant is rooted in a deep respect for seasonality, sustainability, and place.

Take your seat, slow down, and settle into the landscape. Our menus are shaped entirely by the seasons — celebrating organic vegetables grown at home, exceptional local suppliers, and ingredients gathered from the surrounding moors and coastline.

The result is thoughtful, ingredient-led cooking that reflects the changing seasons of the North Yorkshire countryside.

“What a treat. Exquisite food, lovely service and a delightful setting. I really can’t recommend this enough. You could easily pay twice the price for food this good. The beef and Yorkshire pudding was amazing”
